Israeli Soldier Who Became Symbol of Oct 7 Rape Allegations Gives Detailed Testimony Without Mentioning Any Sexual Violence

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Naama Levy, the Israeli soldier whose capture image from the Nahal Oz military base fueled global pro-Israel rallies and became the cornerstone of Israel’s October 7 rape allegations, has given a detailed testimony in New York on Friday about her captivity. Her detailed testimony did not include anything about sexual violence.
Levy explained that the blood seen in the widely circulated footage came from combat injuries.
Levy, who was released in January 2025, spoke publicly eight months after her release. She said she “suffered severe malnutrition, indescribable hunger, and many untreated injuries. I was kept in unbearable sanitary conditions, with the constant fear that each moment could be my last.”
Her statements about hunger and lack of personal hygiene items align with numerous Hamas statements stressing that Israeli soldiers held in Gaza face the same conditions as Gaza’s residents under the Israeli siege, which continues to kill dozens from hunger and diseases every day.
Levy’s case drew international attention after footage showed her bloodied and in grey sweatpants when she was taken from the Nahal Oz military base. That image became the cornerstone of Israel’s global rape allegations, often used to mobilize pro-Israel and pro-genocide rallies.
It turned out that the blood seen in the video came from combat injuries, not from assault.
She was one of several female military observers captured during the October 7 resistance operation on the Gaza border.
