In two days, Israeli forces killed two Palestinian youths

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces shot dead two Palestinian youths, in two days only, this week, in al-Bireh town and Jenin.

On 21 December, 22-year-old Hekmat Abdul Aziz Musa, from the village of Mirka, was killed after Israeli occupation forces fired gunshots at his vehicle’s fuel tank at the military checkpoint of Dothan, near Ya’bad town, in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. He was burnt alive as a result of the explosion of his vehicle’s fuel tank, and his body was confiscated by the Israeli occupation forces.

On 22 December, 26-year-old Muhammad Issa Abbas, from Al Am’ari refugee camp in Ramallah, was killed after Israeli forces opened fire at him in the West Bank city of Al Bireh during a night raid. Abbas succumbed to wounds he sustained after being shot by the forces. He was rushed to a hospital to get urgent medical treatment and to save his life. However, he was announced dead, hours later.

Following the incidents, Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh called on the United Nations and human rights groups to take immediate action to stop “the executions of the Israeli forces in the West Bank.”

Moreover, Israeli Occupation War Minister Benny Gantz has loosened open fire regulations for Israeli forces, allowing them to open fire on Palestinian stone-throwers even after the act, as Israeli Public Broadcaster, Kan, reported on 20 December.

Israeli forces have killed thousands of Palestinians in the Occupied Territories over the years, and several international human rights groups say Israeli forces have used excessive force in attacking and subduing Palestinians.

“This policy [opening fire] reflects deep disregard for Palestinian lives and property and enables the continued use of lethal force, crucial to enabling Israel to retain its violent control over millions of Palestinians,” said Israeli human rights group, B’Tselem.
