Israel Complies with Humanitarian Aid Terms for the First Time Since Ceasefire Deal

Gaza (Quds News Network)- For the first time since the ceasefire agreement began, Israel has abided by its daily commitment to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. Rami Abdu, head of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, confirmed that Wednesday saw the highest number of aid trucks entering the Strip. A total of 801 trucks crossed into Gaza, including 231 sent to the north and 570 to the south. Of these, 139 entered through Beit Hanoun and 92 from Zikim. The shipments also included 10 gas and 29 fuel trucks, which are critical for relief efforts.
If Israel continues this level of commitment, it could signal a willingness to uphold the ceasefire agreement with Palestinian resistance. Hamas had previously delayed the release of the next group of Israeli prisoners, demanding that Israel fulfill its obligations under the truce.
Israel had previously blocked most humanitarian aid, particularly fuel, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. However, Axios reported that Israel informed Hamas through Qatar and Egypt that if it released three Israeli prisoners on Saturday, Tel Aviv would fully comply with the agreement.
Meanwhile, Israel’s Channel 13 cited a Cabinet official who said the government is deliberately avoiding specifying how many prisoners will be released on Saturday to avoid contradicting US President Donald Trump, who demanded that Hamas release all Israeli prisoners, a demand that goes against the ceasefire agreement.
