Israeli Military Confirms Hamas Has Not Violated Ceasefire

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israel’s army and security officials confirmed that Hamas has not violated the ceasefire agreement, according to Maariv. The Israeli newspaper added that officials see no justification for military action against Gaza at this stage.
Hamas recently delayed the scheduled release of Israeli prisoners, citing Israel’s failure to meet its commitments. Abu Ubaida, spokesperson for Hamas’ military wing, stated that Israel blocked displaced Palestinians from returning to northern Gaza, targeting civilians, and obstructing humanitarian aid.
“We have fulfilled all our obligations,” Abu Ubaida stated. “But Israel has not. The prisoners will not be released until Israel complies and makes up for its past violations.”
More than 20 days have passed since the ceasefire began, yet conditions in Gaza continue to worsen. Israel still blocks the entry of heavy machinery needed to clear 55 million tons of rubble, leaving tens of thousands of bodies trapped under collapsed buildings. Roads remain inaccessible, and aid deliveries face ongoing restrictions.
Israeli forces have also continued attacking civilians. In the latest incident, they struck a vehicle carrying displaced families returning to northern Gaza, killing and injuring several people, including children.
Meanwhile, Israel has delayed phase two negotiations, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yet to authorize his team to engage. The Israeli government has also restricted the exit of Gazan patients through Rafah, vetoing some names, and blocked caravans and temporary housing from entering Gaza. Since the ceasefire took effect, Israeli forces have killed dozens of Palestinians and pushed beyond the agreed 900-meter buffer zone.
Despite these developments, Israeli military officials believe Hamas has no interest in returning to combat. They expect mediators, including Egypt and Qatar, to resolve the current impasse in the coming days.
