Zahran suspends his 113-day-long hunger strike after reaching an agreement with the Israelis

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The Palestinian prisoner Ahmad Zahran decided on Monday to suspend his 113-day-long hunger strike after he reached an agreement with his jailers, according to the Committee of Prisoners and Former Prisoners.

The head of the Committee, Qadri Abu Baker, said that Zahran suspended his strike after reaching an agreement with the IPS with the existence of the director of the legal unit, Jawad Paulus.

Ahmad Zahran (42 years old), from the village of Deir Abu Mish’al in western Ramallah, has already spent 15 years in Israeli jails. He is a father of four. He was arrested in March 2019 under administrative detention without any charges.

This is the second hunger strike for Zahran, as he had previously gone on a 39-day-long hunger strike against his administrative detention. He ended it after Israeli promises to release him, however, they broke their promises and renewed his detention for further four months, pushing him to start another hunger strike.
