WP report: Israel’s offensive on Gaza is one of the century’s most destructive

Gaza (Quds News)- A new report by the Washington Post stated that the Israeli ongoing offensive against Gaza has been one of the most destructive attacks in the century.

According to a satellite imagery analysis, as well as airstrike data, UN damage assessments and interview, the newspaper concluded that Israel’s offensive was carried out at a pace and level of devastation that likely exceeds any recent conflict.

The report added that Israel destroyed in Gaza more buildings, in far less time, than were destroyed during the Syrian regime’s battle for Aleppo from 2013 to 2016 and the US-led campaign to defeat the Islamic State in Mosul, Iraq, and Raqqa, Syria, in 2017.

It also documented Israeli attacks on hospitals, which should be under protection according to the international law.

The report documented, through satellite imagery, dozens of apparent craters near 17 of the 28 hospitals in northern Gaza, including 10 craters that suggested the use of bombs weighing 2,000 pounds, the largest in regular use.

The report added that Israel’s claims of providing safe spaces in Gaza are lies.

Israel has killed over 20,000 civilians in Gaza, over half of them are children and women. It also made over 90% of the population in the besieged enclave homeless.
