Watchdogs: In 2021 only, ‘Israel’ arrested over 8000 Palestinians, including 1300 minors

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- During the year of 2021, Israeli occupation authorities arrested over 8000 Palestinians, Palestinian prisoner advocacy groups said.

In their annual report, the Palestinian prisoners groups, including Addameer, Palestine Prisoners’ Society and the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and ex-Detainees’ Affairs, said that ‘Israel’ arrested nearly 8000 Palestinians during the year of 2021.

Among the arrested were over 1300 minors, all under the age of 18, and 184 women.

In 2021, ‘Israel’ issued 1595 administrative detention orders against the Palestinians.

The groups noted that there are now 4600 Palestinians held in Israeli occupation jails, including 34 women, 160 minors, and 500 administrative detainees held without charge or trial.

In 2020 only, the Israeli occupation forces arrested 4,634 Palestinians, among them 543 children and 128 women, in addition to issuing 1,114 administrative detention orders.

In June 2021, 615 Palestinians, including 92 minors and 24 women, were arrested by Israeli occupation, while 100 administrative detention orders were issued.

In July 2021, ‘Israel’ arrested 513 Palestinians, including 47 children and 17 females and issued 98 administrative orders.

In August 2021, ‘Israel’ arrested 345 Palestinians, including 46 children and 8 females and issued 91 administrative orders.

In September 2021, ‘Israel’ arrested 424 Palestinians, including 67 children and 12 females and issued 121 administrative orders.

In October 2021, ‘Israel’ arrested 467 Palestinians, including 135 children and 10 females and issued 106 administrative orders.

In November 2021, ‘Israel’ arrested 402 Palestinians, including 66 children and 3 women and issued 123 administrative orders.
