Watchdog: ‘Israel’ arrested 42 Palestinians from Issawiyyeh in 6 days

Ramallah (QNN)- A human rights watchdog documented 42 arrests by Israeli forces against native Palestinians in Issawiyyeh, Jerusalem within 6 days only.
According to Wadi Hilweh Information Center, the occupation state has arrested 42 Palestinians, including nine children, during October.
The center added that most of those, who were arrested were released a few hours or days later after paying heavy fines and approving to be under house arrest.
Issawiyyeh is being targeted by the occupation state through daily arrest and raid campaigns that target Palestinians of all ages.
In May 2020, the Israeli organization B’Tselem stated that Israeli forces have been engaged in a campaign of abuse and collective punishment against the neighborhood, putting local residents in danger.
B’Tselem warned that the Israeli racist policy, which has been applied through several aspects including house demolitions, raids, and arrests, has created the harsh living conditions in the neighborhood, aiming to push native Palestinians to leave their homes and be replaced by Israeli settlers.
