Watchdog: Health condition of wounded prisoner Ihab Ihjouj worsens

Ramallah (QNN)- The Palestinian Prisoners Club said on Tuesday that the health condition of the prisoner Ihab Al Ihjouj (33 years old) has worsened due to the harsh conditions in which he has been living in Israeli jails.
The club added in a press statement that a tumor has developed in his waist. He also has severe pain in the neck and back due to the beating to which he has been subjected during his arrest and two-month-long interrogation.
The family of Ihjouj called on all concerned parties to pressure the occupation state to provide medical care for Ihjouj.
Ihjouj, a father of two children, was arrested in 2014 and sentenced to ten years.
The number of patient prisoners in Israeli jails has increased to nearly 700, including 300 suffering from chronic diseases. The Israeli Prison Service (IPS) uses the medical needs of patient prisoners to obtain confessions and as a torture tool.
