Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Thousands of native Palestinians in the 1948-occupied Palestinian land demonstrated on Friday against the racist policies and brutality of the Israeli police.
Mass demonstrations took to the streets of occupied Haifa, Um Al Fahem, At Taybeh, Tamra, Nazareth, Shafa Amr, Baqa Al Gharbiyyi, and Nahaf. The Israeli police assaulted the protesters, arresting three of them.
The protests erupted following a sharp increase in crimes among native Palestinians. The protesters stressed that the increase has resulted from the Israeli policies, arming and protecting gangs and criminals in Palestinian neighborhoods.
In Taybeh, the Israeli police used sound bombs and sewage water against protesters, according to Arab 48.
Meanwhile, in Haifa, dozens took part in a demonstration, chanting against police brutality and complicity with the criminals. The protesters also chanted slogans that call for the freedom of Muhannad Abu Ghoush, a human rights activist who has been arrested over “communication with people in the Arab world”.
Israeli cope attacked the protesters and arrested a female protester although she was unconscious.
In Shafa Amr, two protests went to the streets condemning the Israeli police’s complicity in supporting crimes.
On Tuesday evening, thousands participated in the funeral of the 22-year-old nursing student Ahmed Hegazi, who was killed during a random shoot-out by Israeli cops.
