Video: Saraya Al-Quds Releases Video of Israeli Prisoner Fishing in Gaza Before His Expected Release

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Saraya Al-Quds published a video of Israeli prisoner Alexander Turbanov fishing on a Gaza beach and writing a letter. The group confirmed that he will be released tomorrow as part of the sixth batch of the ongoing prisoner exchange deal.

Hamas announced plans to release three Israeli prisoners under the agreement.

Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that Turbanov holds Russian citizenship. Moscow had previously called for his release.

The current ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal, which began on January 19, includes three phases, each lasting 42 days. The first phase outlines the gradual release of 33 Israeli prisoners, both living and deceased, in exchange for 1,700 to 2,000 Palestinian and Arab detainees.

Since the deal took effect, Al-Qassam Brigades has handed over 16 Israeli prisoners in five exchange rounds.

Between October 7, 2023, and January 19, 2025, Israel, with full US support, carried out a genocide in Gaza, killing and injuring around 160,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children. More than 14,000 remain missing.
