Nablus (QNN)- Israeli bulldozers on Monday demolished the house of the political prisoner Khalil Dweikat in the village of Rujeib in eastern Nablus.
An Israeli force demolished the two-story house after surrounding it and climbing onto its roof, local sources said. Israeli authorities had issued a demolition order to demolish Dweikat’s house last August.
Locals clashed with Israeli soldiers during the raid. One young man has been reportedly wounded with an Israeli rubber-coated metal bullet
Khalil Dweikat (46 years old), a father of six girls, was arrested last August under the pretext of killing an Israeli settler in Netanya.
The family of Deikat repeatedly said that it has been denied its right to visit him and that even his lawyer is banned from visiting him.
The Israeli Supreme court has ruled to demolish the house even before it announced a final judgment in his case. All appeals to prevent the demolition have been rejected by the court.
