Video| Extremist Israeli settlers attack Palestinian families and houses in Hebron at midnight

Hebron (QNN)- A group of extremist Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian families and their houses at midnight of Tuesday in the Jaber nighborhood in Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank.

Local source said a group of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian families with stones after breaking into the neighborhood and then attacked the house of Aref Jaber, a local activist.

Palestinian residents tried to stop the settlers from attacking them and their properties, however, Israeli forces protected the settlers and fired live bullets and sound bombs towards them.

Last week, a group of Israeli settlers also raided the neighborhood and attacked Palestinian homes and vehicles and smashed their windshields under the protection of the occupation forces

Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the occupied West Bank.

There are nearly 700,000 Israeli settlers living in 256 illegal settlements and outposts scattered across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Israeli settlements are illegal under international law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention.
