Tulkarm (QNN)- The Israeli occupation army on Tuesday savagely attacked a peaceful demonstration by Palestinian farmers in the village of Shufa, who protested against land grab that the Israelis have been carrying out in order to establish an industrial settlement in contravention of international law.
Israeli soldiers savagely attacked the demonstrators, beating and humiliating them. They also fired tear gas canisters at them, targeting elderlies and children alike.
Pictures and video footage from the village showed Israeli soldiers attacking an elderly villager who was holding a flag using the knee-to-neck restraint technique, bringing to mind scenes of police brutality in different areas of the globe.

The occupation state has confiscated nearly 800 dunums of the lands of Shufa and Ijbara villages in order to construct an illegal industrial settlement. The residents of the villages joined the Committee to resist the wall and settlements and organized protests against Israeli land theft.
Tulkarem Governor Issam Abu Bakar, who joined the peaceful event, told WAFA that Palestinian events will continue until succeeding to stop the settlement plans.
