Video: Al-Qassam Brigades Release Video of Rescuing Israeli Prisoners from Israeli-Bombed Tunnel

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas resistance movement, released a video on Saturday showing Israeli prisoners being rescued from a tunnel bombed by Israeli forces in Gaza.
The video, lasting one minute and 26 seconds, shows Al-Qassam fighters digging through rubble inside the tunnel. They pulled out Israeli prisoners and gave them first aid.
Al-Qassam said in a statement: “Operation to rescue Zionist prisoners from a tunnel bombed by the occupation army a few days ago… more details later.”
The group did not reveal the identities of the prisoners or the exact location of the operation.
Last week, Al-Qassam spokesman Abu Ubaida said fighters had retrieved the body of a martyr who was guarding Israeli-American prisoner Edan Alexander.
Abu Ubaida explained on Telegram: “The fate of the prisoner and the rest of the fighters remains unknown.” He stressed that Al-Qassam is trying to protect all prisoners despite Israel’s constant airstrikes that aim at killing them. “Their lives are in danger because of the enemy’s criminal bombing,” he said.
Abu Ubaida stated that Israel lies about its treatment of prisoners. He said Israeli authorities fabricate testimonies from former prisoners to smear the resistance and cover up the killing of its own soldiers.
He earlier revealed that Israeli forces bombed the site where Edan Alexander was held, severing contact with the group guarding him.
“We are still trying to reach them,” Abu Ubaida added. He stated that Israel deliberately targets dual-national prisoners to avoid pressure over the prisoners file and to push forward its ongoing war of extermination against the Palestinian people.
Days earlier, Al-Qassam published a video showing Edan Alexander himself. Speaking in a desperate voice, he said: “We truly believe we will return home dead. There is nothing to say, no hope.”
Alexander criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying: “Every day I see Netanyahu controlling the country like a dictator.”
He accused the Israeli government, the U.S. administration, and the Israeli army of lying to their own people.
In a direct message to U.S. President Donald Trump, Alexander said: “I believed you would succeed in getting me out alive.” He asked: “Why did I become a victim of Netanyahu’s lies?”
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has carried out a relentless campaign of genocide in Gaza, killing tens of thousands of Palestinians, destroying hospitals, schools, and refugee camps, and blocking aid to millions under siege.
