Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The Israeli police on Friday repressed peaceful protests in the 1948-occupied Umm Al Fahm, wounding 11 protesters and arresting seven.
The Israeli police used rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs, and sewage water against the peaceful protesters, who protested against Israel’s support and complicity with criminals in the Palestinian community.
One serious injury has been reported for Muhannad Mahajneh (30 years old), who was shot in his head.
The injuries also included the mayor of Umm Al Fahm Samir Mahamid and the MK Yousef Jabbarin.
“We went out in a peaceful protest but we faced a violent and barbaric attack by the [Israeli] police”, a protester said.
The protesters held coffins representing victims of crimes inside the Palestinian community. They also demanded to reveal the criminals and bring them to court.
Since the start of 2021, 15 native Palestinians were killed in crimes that the Israeli police continues to reject working on them.
