US pays tens of millions for Israeli-made attack drones tested on civilians in Gaza

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The US Department of War has awarded a multi‑million dollar contract to Israeli drone maker XTEND Reality Inc. The fixed‑price deal will fund development and delivery of AI‑enabled one‑way attack drone kits called ACQME‑DK, which was tested on families in Gaza during the genocide.

The contract names the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations/Low‑Intensity Conflict as the buyer. XTEND claims the kits boost precision strikes and operator survivability in urban and confined rural combat.

XTEND says its technologies have “battlefield experience”, a term that Israel usually use to describe weapons tested on Palestinians. The company notes operational use by the Israeli military and field deployments in “other theaters”. XTEND competed for the Pentagon tender against several US firms, including Anduril. Company officials said “combat experience” in Israel and Ukraine helped win the contract.

XTEND opened a manufacturing facility in Tampa, Florida. The firm will supply training, spare parts and maintenance from that site. XTEND plans more factories outside Israel.

Israeli soldiers routinely post videos showing their use of drones against civilians.

The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor reported that the Israeli army has intensified its use of quadcopter drones in Gaza as tools of psychological intimidation, surveillance, and targeted killing.

The drones frequently hover at low altitudes over shelters, corridors, and tents where displaced civilians have sought refuge, deliberately creating a climate of fear.

Witnesses described drones broadcasting terrifying sounds, including children screaming, elderly people crying, women wailing, and simulated ambulance sirens, designed to exhaust civilians psychologically and make displacement zones feel like death traps.
