US most powerful pro-Israel lobby invites Moroccan FM in video conference

Washington (QNN)- The American Israel Public Affairs Committee and the most powerful pro-Israel lobby in the country has invited Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, to partake as “a distinguished guest” in a video conference, Morocco World News reported.
A Morrocan official in the Foregin Ministry said that the organization invited Bourita to participate in a video conference scheduled for May 6, which will see the participation of many prominent personalities and politicians from both Israel and the US.
This year’s event will mark the first time that AIPAC will interview Morocco’s Foreign Minister, as part of meetings with key “decision-makers and policy leaders helping reshape the region.
Other guests include the Israeli Minister of National Infrastructure, Energy and Water Yuval Steinitz, the Director of Politico-Military Affairs at the Israeli Ministry of Defense Zohar Palti, and the Director of Affairs corporate at Noble Energy Binyamin Zomer.
Throughout the years of its influence on the US policy towards Israel, AIPAC has strongly opposed any criticism of Israel and its policy, using its lobbying powers to condemn those who dare to criticize Israel and to prevent others from voicing criticism.
Partly, because of AIPAC’s political efforts, the US has remained Israel’s strongest ally, funding its military and standing with it when it expands its illegal West Bank settlements or its soldiers kill hundreds of unarmed Palestinians, including children, medics and journalists.
This will be the first time for AIPAC to invite a Moroccan senior official as a guest of honor, indicating the so-called warming relations between Morocco and the occupation state of ‘Israel’.
Last December, Morocco and ‘Israel’ normalized ties, making it the fourth Arab country to normalize ties with the occupation state last year, following the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan, under the Abraham Accords, a pact brokered by the United States.
