US and UK resume their aggression on Yemen amid tensions in Red Sea

Sanaa (Quds News Network) – The US and UK military forces resumed last night their aggression on Yemen, launching numerous airstrikes targeting locations across the country in response to the recent attacks by Yemen’s Houthi movement on Israeli-bound ships in the Red Sea.
The Houthis say they have been targeting Israeli ships and ships bound for Israel in support of the Palestinian people who have been facing a relentless Israeli genocide for five months.
The Pentagon stated that the joint US and UK forces conducted strikes on 18 Houthi targets, while Reuters reported that these strikes hit Houthi targets in eight locations across Yemen.
Reuters additionally highlighted that the forces of both nations are currently carrying out strikes on multiple targets in Yemen. CNN quoted a US official stating that the strikes in Yemen included various Houthi targets, including the capital Sanaa.
Meanwhile, Yemeni media reported that five US and UK airstrikes targeted locations in the capital, Sanaa. Mohammad al-Bukhaiti, a member of the political bureau of the Houthi movement, stated that Sanaa is being bombed to protect those committing genocide in Gaza, emphasizing that the bombings will only increase their determination to continue supporting Gaza.
In another development, reports from the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah channel indicated that US and British aggression conducted a series of airstrikes on Sanaa.
Since the beginning of this year, the coalition led by Washington has been carrying out airstrikes, claiming to target Houthi positions in various regions of Yemen in response to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea.
