Update: Over 400 Palestinians Killed as Israel Resumes Gaza Genocide War

Gaza (Quds News Network)- More than 400 Palestinian civilians have been killed and 562 others injured in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip as Israel continues attacking the enclave since the early hours of Tuesday. Israel has resumed its genocidal war in Gaza after nearly two months of a fragile ceasefire.

The attacks began in the early hours of Tuesday morning, resulting in the killing of at least 404 civilians, the majority of whom are children. About 562 others have been injured, with many still missing under the rubble, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

According to the Civil Defense in Gaza, over 130 children are among the victims.

Dr. Munir al-Bursh, General Director of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said the Israeli occupation has set a new record in the killing of Palestinians, with the “majority of those killed in the massacres are women and children.”

He added, “There is a severe shortage of medical supplies, and our hospitals are lacking even the most basic resources. The health situation is catastrophic, with 25 out of 38 hospitals out of service. We are in urgent need of field hospitals, beds, and operating rooms to handle the overwhelming number of injuries and victims of this assault.”

The Director of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, Dr. Mohammad Abu Salmiya, also said medical teams are struggling to reach the injured. “There is a critical shortage of medications due to the closure of the border crossings. The healthcare system is overwhelmed and unable to handle the large number of casualties,” he stated.

Gaza’s Government Media Office said entire families were erased from the civil registry in the Israeli attacks.

“Some have been transported to hospitals, while many others remain unable to reach medical facilities due to the dire humanitarian conditions and the collapse of transportation in Gaza, caused by the fuel shortage. The majority of the martyrs and missing people are women, children, and elders.”

“This is an occupation thirsty for blood,” the Office said, noting the Israeli attacks come amid Israel’s blockade, which is preventing all humanitarian aid from entering the strip, including food, fuel, and medicine.

The Office stated that over 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza have been “deprived of the most basic necessities of life, including food, medicine, water, infant formula, and other essential supplies,” amid accusations of using starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza.

At the same time, Gaza’s health system is collapsing due to the continued denial of medical supplies and humanitarian aid, it said, threatening to shut down hospitals and leaving them unable to treat the wounded and sick. “The ongoing fuel blockade also severely affects vital sectors, plunging Gaza into a full-scale disaster.”
