Update| Israeli forces shoot dead Jerusalem operation executor in field

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces shot dead the Palestinian freedom fighter, who allegedly carried out a shooting attempt against Israeli forces in the old city in Jerusalem, in the field on Sunday.
The incident took place around 9 a.m. near the Bab al-Silsila, one of the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli media said that the Palestinian freedom fighter was shot and “neutralized.”
The freedom fighter has been identified as Sheikh Fadi Abu Shukhedem.
Eyewitnesses said he had been killed in the field, but that was not immediately confirmed.
Israeli media claimed that three Israeli policemen were wounded, and an Israeli settler died of his injuries.
The Israeli forces imposed a military cordon in the occupied city and immediately closed the site.
The Palestinian Islamic resistance movement of Hamas has praised the incident. Spokesman Hazem Qassem said, “This is a commando action in occupied Jerusalem. The city will continue to wage war until the occupying entity is driven out.”
