UN warns of “explosive mix” in Palestine caused by ‘Israel’
United Nations (QNN)- The UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov, warned Tuesday that violence is increasing in occupied Palestine due to Israel’s actions.
Nikolay Mladenov, speaking from occupied Jerusalem by video link, told the UN Security Council that Israel’s illegal settlement construction and terror attacks on the ground, along with “the lack of any perspective to revive” peace talks, had fostered a greater risk of “radicalisation” in occupied Palestine.
“The situation in Gaza is becoming increasingly difficult, there is a serious deterioration of the health sector in the face of a lack of resources and medical supplies”, he stated.
The UN representative also condemned Israel’s decision to expand its settlement in Dolev, West Bank, which was illegally installed in the village of al Janiya, in western Ramallah.
While this is happening, on the other hand, Palestinians cannot obtain building permits, Mladenov confirmed.
