UN General Assembly President raises alarm over Israel’s imminent assault on Rafah

New York (Quds News Network) – Dennis Francis, the President of the UN General Assembly, has expressed deep concern over an imminent Israeli full-flegded assault on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
“I am deeply distressed by the escalating military operation into Rafah, where over a million civilians are already sheltering in the most dire conditions,” Francis posted on X.
“Another phase of this humanitarian catastrophe is at our doorstep. This is not a path to sustainable peace,” he added.
Francis vowed to continue appealing to those with leverage to exert maximum effort in halting the bloodshed.
