UN ‘deeply disturbed’ by video of couple having sex in official vehicle in “Israel”

More than 1,000 out of the estimated 10,000 prostitutes in 'Israel' are minors, according to the Israeli government.

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The United Nations said that it was “shocked and deeply disturbed” after footage of a sex act in one of its official cars in the occupation state went viral, the BBC reported on Friday.

The video, showing a woman in a red dress straddling a man in the back seat of a white 4×4 with UN markings, was allegedly filmed on a main street by Tel Aviv’s seafront.

“We are shocked and deeply disturbed by what is seen on this video,” Stephane Dujarric, the spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, told the BBC.

That kind of behaviour “goes against everything we stand for and having been working to achieve in terms of fighting misconduct by UN staff”, he added.

Dujarric said the identification of the individuals seen in the video was “close to being completed”.

“We expect the process to be concluded very quickly and intend to promptly take the appropriate action,” he told the BBC.

A total of 175 allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse against UN staff members was reported in 2019, according to the UN.

Of those allegations, 16 were substantiated, 15 were unsubstantiated and all others were still being investigated.

The video footage sparked outrage among Human rights activists, who insisted that UN workers make money off the back of the Palestinians’ tragedy while spending their time partying in Tel Aviv and enjoying living in stolen Palestinian homes.

Others alluded to the UN’s sexual abuse scandal in Haiti in 2007, when UN peacekeepers were accused of committing immoral sexual abuse during the United Nations Stabilisation Mission in Haiti.

This is not the first scandal in the history of the United Nations. In 2018, a whistle blower claimed UN staff could have carried out 60,000 rapes in the last decade as aid workers indulge in sex abuse unchecked around the world.

Andrew MacLeod, who was chief of operations at the UN’s Emergency Co-ordination Centre, said that “predatory” abusers used development jobs to get to vulnerable women and children.

He estimated that 60,000 rapes had been carried out by UN staff in the past decade, with 3,300 paedophiles working in the organisation and its agencies in third world countries.

In 2017, the Associated Press published a shocking story about Haitian victims of UN peacekeepers’ rape, stressing that none of the offenders was held accountable.

There are no accurate estimations about the numbers of children, who are forced into the sex industry in ‘Israel’. However, a 2011 report by the Israeli government stated that more than 1,000 out of the estimated 10,000 prostitutes in ‘Israel’ are minors.
