U.S. Envoy Says U.S. Unleashed Israel and Supplied All Weapons to Continue the War in Gaza
Washington (Quds News Network)- Deputy U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Morgan Ortagus, admitted that Washington has given Israel full support in its genocide in Gaza. Speaking to Fox News, she stated that her country has unleashed Israel and provided all the weapons needed to continue the war.
Ortagus said that U.S. officials continue round-the-clock negotiations on Gaza, using all available influence to secure the release of Israeli prisoners.
Meanwhile, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff admitted frustration over stalled ceasefire talks. “I thought we had an acceptable deal. I even thought Hamas had approved it. Maybe I was duped,” he told Fox News commenting on his proposed deal that Israel rejected even before Hamas had responded, and resumed its war against Gaza.
He insisted that Hamas had multiple chances to accept a truce and disarm. “They elected not to. This war is the alternative, and it is unfortunate,” he added, defending Israel’s resumption of the Gaza genocide.
Netanyahu Prefers War?
In an earlier interview with Tucker Carlson, Witkoff suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prioritizes war over securing Israeli prisoners. He also noted that the Western portrayal of Hamas does not fully reflect the reality on the ground. The new statements appear to be a reversal of these earlier remarks.
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem's executive director, Yuli Novak, said: “The Israeli regime has turned its prisons into a network of torture camps for Palestinians, as part of a coordinated onslaught intended to destroy Palestinian society as a collective.”
Israel says it will open the Rafah crossing only for individuals and under full Israeli control, while continuing to block the entry of aid and goods into Gaza, tying any broader opening to the recovery of an Israeli soldier’s body despite the ceasefire terms.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi says the Justice Department will seek the death penalty for Elias Rodriguez after an incident against former Israeli soldiers at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, a move she announced at a Florida Zionist conference while framing the case within a broader crackdown on alleged ‘antisemitism’ .
