Randy Fine Walks Back Call to Nuke Gaza, Because ‘The Fallout Would Drift into Israel’

Florida (Quds News Network)- Florida Republican Rep. Randy Fine said nuking Gaza would be a “terrible idea”, not because of the loss of Palestinian lives, but because nuclear fallout would drift into Israel and kill the Israelis.
Fine made the statement during a CNN interview, where the anchor asked him about a previous statement in which he suggested the US should use nuclear weapons against the people of Gaza. Fine had said, “We nuked the Japanese twice to get unconditional surrender. That needs to be the same here. There is something deeply wrong with this culture and it needs to be defeated.”
When asked whether he really meant that the US should use nuclear weapons against a people because he does not like thie culture, Fine responded:
“Of course not… Nuking Gaza would be a terrible idea. The fallout would drift into Israel. It would kill the hostages.”
The CNN anchor then questioned if he was worried about Palestinian women and children being killed. Fine replied, “I think war is a messy thing… I believe the Palestinianism in Gaza is on the level of evil that we saw in Japan and we saw in Germany in World War II.”
Fine, a staunch ally of US President Donald Trump, is known for his extreme racism and anti-Palestinian rhetoric. In February, he pledged to recognize Israeli sovereignty over both Gaza and the West Bank if elected. He also vowed to expel native Palestinians from what he called “the State of Israel.”
In past statements, Fine has referred to Palestinians as “monsters” and “demons” who “deserve no state, only death.” In 2021, he responded to a photo of a murdered Palestinian child on social media by writing, “Quite well, actually! Thanks for the pic!”
