Two Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Jericho raid

Jericho (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces fatally shot two Palestinians early Tuesday morning during a military raid into Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

The ministry said Qusai al-Walaji, 16, and Mohammed Najum al-Omar, 25, were shot with live bullets by Israeli forces after the latter violently raided the camp.

The two were taken to Jericho Government Hospital, where they were pronounced dead shortly after.

During the raid, Israeli forces also arrested a 20-year-old Palestinian man, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) in Jericho.

In recent months, the Aqabat refugee camp has been a regular target for Israeli military raids. Today’s raid brings the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in the camp since the start of the year to 11.

Israeli occupation forces and settlers have killed 12 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem in August so far.
