Two Palestinian teenagers killed by Israeli forces during Jenin raid

Jenin (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces shot and killed two Palestinian teenagers on Saturday morning during an Israeli military raid into the Jenin refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed.

The Health Ministry said two 16-year-old Palestinians, identified as Mahmoud Al-Sous and Ahmad Daraghmeh, were shot dead by Israeli occupation gunfire during a military raid into the Jenin refugee camp, this morning.

Local sources and witnesses said large numbers of Israeli occupation forces raided the Jenin refugee camp in armored vehicles, blocking entrances to the area and surrounding several homes of wanted Palestinian resistance fighters.

Confrontations erupted between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli occupation soldiers as the latter used live fire, tear gas and smoke grenades during the raid, and a military helicopter was reportedly spotted flying over the camp.

The Ministry of Health said 11 people were injured during the furious raid, three of them were reportedly in serious condition.

During the raid, the Israeli occupation forces arrested 25-year-old Palestinian Saleh Abu Zeina, claiming he is wanted for “terror activity” and for being an Islamic Jihad group member, after surrounding his house in the refugee. Abu Zeina was previously held in Israeli prisons.

Witnesses said journalists and ambulances were also denied access into the area of the Israeli assault on the camp.

The killings come a day after two Palestinian teenagers were also shot dead by Israeli forces in two separate incidents in the West Bank, according to the health ministry. One Palestinian was killed in Qalqilya in the northern West Bank, while the second one was killed near the city of Ramallah.
