Two Civilians Killed in Israeli Airstrike Targeting Vehicle in Damascus’ Mazzeh District

Damascus (Quds News Network)- Two people were killed, and three others injured in an Israeli strike on a vehicle in Al-Mazzeh district of Damascus on Monday, according to Syria’s Ministry of Defense. The attack caused a large explosion in the area.
Syrian media reported that the targeted vehicle was near a mourning house for Yahya Sinwar, the head of Hamas’ political bureau, in Mazzeh. The identities of those killed have not yet been confirmed, though in recent weeks, Israeli strikes have targeted leaders of Hezbollah and Iran’s Revolutionary Guard in the same district, as well as various locations in central Syria and coastal cities. Ground incursions in Quneitra have also been reported.
Al-Mazzeh is a key area in Damascus, home to government offices, and several embassies and diplomatic missions.
Israel rarely confirms its involvement in such strikes.
