Trump’s Ambassador Reveals 700,000 American Settlers in Occupied Palestine
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee revealed that 700,000 American citizens live as colonial settlers across occupied Palestine. He was referring to those who are also Israeli citizens and serve in the Israeli army. His comments came during an interview with Israel’s Channel 12 News.
“There’s 700,000 Americans living in Israel,” Huckabee said. “If the Houthis want to continue doing things to Israel and they hurt an American, then it becomes our business.”
Huckabee added that he spoke directly with U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance the night before. He stressed that the U.S. does not need Israel’s permission to defend its interests in the region. “The United States isn’t required to get permission from Israel to make some type of arrangement that would get the Houthis from firing on our ships,” he said.
His remarks followed Trump’s surprise announcement of a bilateral ceasefire deal with Yemen. The agreement requires both the U.S. and Yemen to stop attacking each other. It does not apply to Israel. Yemen’s armed forces have vowed to continue targeting Israel in support of Gaza.
Huckabee clarified that U.S. military response would depend on whether Americans are harmed. “It’s a matter of what becomes our immediate business,” he said when asked if Washington would intervene only if U.S. citizens were injured.
His comments came just days after a Houthi missile struck near Ben Gurion Airport, injuring several settlers and forcing foreign airlines to suspend flights to the occupation state. Israeli officials said the Trump administration did not inform them in advance about the ceasefire.
The 700,000 American colonial settlers mentioned by Huckabee are part of a broader settler population across historic Palestine. The Israelis are groups of settlers who came from many countries, mostly European, with the aim of establishing Israel as a settler-colonial project. All Israelis should serve in the Israeli military.
For 19 months now, the Israeli military had been carrying out genocide in Gaza. It killed over 52,000 native Palestinians in Gaza alone.
