Trump Withdraws Gaza Purchase Idea, Pushes for Takeover and Palestinian Displacement

Washington (Quds News Network)- US President Donald Trump has withdrawn his idea of purchasing Gaza. Instead, he reaffirmed his plan to take control of the territory and displace its Palestinian population. He made these remarks during a meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah on Tuesday.
Trump described his vision of turning Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East.” He claimed his plan would create jobs and bring peace to the region. “We’re going to take it, hold it, and cherish it,” he said from the Oval Office.
Trump insisted that Jordan and Egypt should house displaced Palestinians. However, King Abdullah firmly rejected the proposal, refusing to allocate land for Palestinian refugees, expelled from Gaza. Instead, he offered to accept 2,000 sick children from Gaza as a humanitarian gesture.
The Jordanian king placed the responsibility on Arab countries, urging them to find a collective solution. He stressed that Jordan would act in its own best interest and would not be pressured into accepting displaced Palestinians.
Trump’s remarks have sparked outrage across the Arab world. His plan dismisses Palestinians’ right to return and threatens to reshape the region’s demographics.
