Trump Threatens Hamas with Genocide Amid Reports of Secret US Talks with the Movement

Washington (Quds News Network)- US President Donald Trump issued a direct threat to Hamas in a social media post on Tuesday. His statement came shortly after he met with freed Israeli prisoners who were released in a recent prisoner exchange deal between the resistance and the occupation state.

At the same time, reports surfaced that Trump’s administration had been secretly negotiating with Hamas in Doha without Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s knowledge.

In his post, Trump warned Hamas to release all Israeli prisoners immediately or he will ask Israel to resume the genocide in Gaza. His threat contradicts the prisoner exchange agreement he personally brokered between Hamas and Israel.

“Shalom Hamas” means Hello and Goodbye. You can choose,” Trump wrote. “Release all the hostages now, not later… or it is OVER for you.”

He also vowed to send Israel “everything it needs to finish the job” and warned that “not a single Hamas member will be safe” if they refused.

Trump urged Hamas leaders to flee Gaza while they still had a chance. He also addressed the people of Gaza, promising a “beautiful future” but only if all hostages were released. “If you do not, you are DEAD!” he wrote.

Secret US-Hamas Talks Without Israel

At the same time, Axios reported that the Trump administration had been holding direct talks with Hamas. This marked the first time the US engaged with the resistance movement, which it designated a terrorist organization in 1997.

The negotiations focused on securing the release of American settlers held in Gaza and discussing a broader deal to end the war.

While Israel was initially consulted about the possibility of US-Hamas talks, Netanyahu’s government reportedly learned of key developments through indirect channels.
