Trump Says Gaza Ceasefire Not Guaranteed, Confuses Mozambique with Palestine Again

US President Donald Trump said Monday he cannot guarantee the Gaza ceasefire will continue. He also confused Mozambique with Palestine again, citing a $50 million program to distribute condoms.

Washington DC. (Quds News Network)- US President Donald Trump said Monday he cannot guarantee the Gaza ceasefire will continue. His envoy, Steve Witkoff, told reporters at the White House that the truce is holding for now.

Speaking to journalists, Trump repeated his claim that his administration had blocked foreign aid, including a $50 million shipment of condoms supposedly destined for Gaza. He alleged that Hamas had repurposed them to make bombs.

However, this claim was previously debunked. The White House had confused Gaza province in Mozambique, which receives US aid in the form of condoms for disease prevention, with the Gaza Strip in Palestine.

Earlier, the White House justified freezing foreign aid by citing a $50 million program to distribute condoms in Gaza. But no evidence supported this assertion.

Data from “UI Aid,” the organization responsible for such aid programs, does not show any shipments of this kind to Gaza or the Middle East. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association (PFPPA) stated that condoms and other basic reproductive health products are banned in Gaza. The group also had previously stated that Israel is systematically denying Palestinians access to sexual and reproductive healthcare.
