Trump Announces Ceasefire Deal Between Israel and Iran to End 12-Day War
Washington (Quds News Network) – US President Donald Trump has announced that Israel and Iran have reached a full ceasefire agreement, bringing an end to 12 days of war, started by Israel, that threatened to engulf the entire Middle East.

“Congratulations to everyone!” Trump wrote in a statement on social media. He said both sides agreed to a “Complete and Total CEASEFIRE” beginning approximately six hours from now, after both countries complete ongoing final missions.

According to the statement, Iran will initiate the ceasefire first. Israel will follow after 12 hours. The war will officially be declared over after 24 hours. Trump praised both countries for showing what he called “stamina, courage, and intelligence” in choosing peace.

“This is a war that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will!” he declared, ending his message with blessings for both nations and the world.

The ceasefire announcement comes less than a day after Iran launched a major retaliatory strike on US and Israeli-linked military targets in the Gulf. Iranian missiles targeted the US Al-Udeid base in Qatar and military installations in Iraq. Sirens were activated in American bases across Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. No casualties were reported, as Iran reportedly gave advance notice to avoid loss of life.

Iran’s attack followed US airstrikes on nuclear sites, using strategic bunker-busting bombs.

Earlier today, Israeli officials stated they aimed to end the war quickly through overwhelming force. Military sources told Israeli media that the goal was to “set the tone and force Iran to stop.” The war began after Israel launched surprise strikes on Iranian facilities, triggering a rapid escalation between the two longtime rivals.
