Three Palestinians assassinated by Israeli forces in Jenin raid
Jenin (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces shot and killed three Palestinians in a furious military raid into the occupied West Bank’s Jenin refugee camp, early on Thursday.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that three Palestinians were assassinated in the Israeli assault on Jenin refugee camp, identifying them as Sudqi Zakarneh, 29, from the city of Jenin, Tareq al-Damj, 29, from Jenin refugee camp, and Ata Shalabi, 46, from Qabatya, near Jenin.
Local sources and eyewitnesses reportedly said that a large number of Israeli forces, accompanied by a military bulldozer, stormed the Jenin city and its refugee camp at dawn on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses said Zakarneh was shot in his car. The people who took him out of the car said they did not find any weapons on him.
Shalabi was driving with his brother on their way to work when they found Zakarneh killed in his car.
Atta attempted to help Zakarneh but as soon as he approached, the Israeli forces shot him.

The third Palestinian was shot by Israeli forces who obstructed the access of ambulances to the area and trageted them with live fire.

Confrontations erupted between Palestinian residents and Israeli soldiers during the brutal assault during which the forces fired live bullets, injuring 10 Palestinians and arresting three others.

The West Bank city of Jenin has been the center of Israeli aggressions and military operations in the few past months, with about 55 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the start of the year in Jenin alone, including Al Jazeera’s veteran journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, according to the Health Ministry.
The killings come amid high tensions on the ground as Israeli forces and settlers have escalated their attacks and crackdown against Palestinians.
Since the start of 2022, Israeli occupation forces have killed 216 Palestinians, including 164 in the occupied West Bank and 54 in the Gaza Strip.
