Thousands rally across U.S. demanding end to military support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza

Washington D.C., 23 Dec 2023 (Quds News) – In a powerful display of solidarity, thousands of activists and members of human rights organizations, unions, and associations rallied yesterday in several American cities, calling for an end to the U.S. military support for Israel and an immediate halt to the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.

Protesters gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, in major shopping areas teeming with holiday shoppers, demanding the termination of all U.S. aid to Israel’s apartheid regime.

Similar demonstrations were also held in front of the Irvine Spectrum shopping center in Los Angeles, California. Protesters even succeeded in closing down the largest Christmas market in Chicago, Illinois.

In Manhattan, New York, demonstrators maintained their daily marches, insisting on ending the genocide and vowing not to cease protesting until the US-propelled war stops and all military aid to Israel is discontinued.

Protests also erupted in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Boston, Massachusetts, with participants calling for an immediate ceasefire. The demonstrators voiced their opposition to the ongoing U.S. military aid to Israel and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The massive rallies, marked by a diverse and passionate crowd, underscore the increasing public demand in the United States for a reassessment of its foreign policy, particularly regarding its military support for Israel amid the current Israeli genocide campaign.

Over 22,300 Palestinians have been killed, the majority of them being children and women, since the outbreak of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7. Nearly 7,000 people remain unaccounted for beneath the rubble.
