Suspect in Minnesota Shootings Linked to Security Firm with Experience in Israeli-Occupied Territories

Minnesota (Quds News Network)- Authorities have named 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter as the suspect in the deadly shootings of Minnesota House Leader Melissa Hortman and her husband, as well as the attacks on Senator John Hoffman and his wife. Boelter is linked to a security firm and operated in Israeli-occupied territories.
Boelter has strong ties to private security. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is CEO of Red Lion Group, a security company based in Congo. He also holds a leadership role at Praetorian Guard Security, a firm providing armed home security in Minnesota’s Twin Cities area.
Boelter’s bio on Praetorian Guard Security reveals his work in complex security environments. He has operated in Eastern Europe, Africa, North America, and the Middle East — including the Israeli-occupied West Bank, southern Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip. His training comes from private security firms and US military personnel.
The company website states its officers use police-style vehicles and protective gear, offering only armed security. Law enforcement said the suspect used a vehicle that resembled a police car during the shootings, and impersonated a police officer.
Boelter’s past jobs include food production roles at companies like Del Monte and Nestle. His only criminal record in Minnesota involves minor traffic violations.
Interestingly, Boelter and Senator Hoffman served together on Minnesota’s Governor Workforce Development Board from 2018 to 2022. Governor Tim Walz appointed Boelter in 2019 for a term that ended in 2023. Authorities are investigating any connections between Boelter and the victims.
Boelter’s public posts show strong political engagement. In 2019, he urged people to vote and prayed for the United States.
