Suffocation cases in Israeli repression of Kafr Qaddum peaceful protest

Ramallah (QNN)- Several Palestinians, including a whole family, were reportedly suffocated on Friday during Israeli repression of Kafr Qaddum’s weekly anti-settlement protest.

The weekly protest is a peaceful protest against Israeli settlement. It also demands Israeli authorities to open the village’s main road, which has been closed for 16 years.

Murad Ishtiwi, coordinator of the weekly march, said Israeli soldiers stormed the village and threw tear gas canisters at houses and citizens. Some tear gas canisters fell inside the house of Dia’ Ishtwei, causing his wife and three children to suffocate.

The Red Crescent stated that its teams dealt with five suffocation cases in the field.
