Statistical study: ‘Israel’ killed 2, arrested 155, demolished 16 structures in Jerusalem last month only
Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Last February has seen the murder of two and injury of dozens of Palestinians by Israeli bullets and tear gas in occupied Jerusalem, according to a statistical report by Wadi Hilweh Information Center.
The study documented several raids by hundreds of settlers into Al Aqsa mosque in addition to the demolition of 16 structures and arrest of 155 native Palestinians during the same month.
Martyrs and injuries
The study, which was issued yesterday, stated that Israeli forces opened fire at Shadi Banna (45 years old) from Haifa under the pretext of carrying out a shooting near Al Asbat gate.
Israeli soldiers also killed Maher Za’atreh (33 years old), a father of two, from Jabal Al Mukabbir under the pretext of trying to stab armed soldiers.
The body of Bana was handed out to his family, meanwhile, Israeli authorities continue to seize the body of Za’atreh along with bodies of other martyrs.
The Israeli army wounded dozens of Palestinians in the city as well, using tear gas grenades and live and sponge bullets.
One of the most tragic cases is the case of Malek Issa (8 years old), who lost his eye after an Israeli soldier shot at it with a rubber-coated metal bullet while he was waiting for his siblings to go back home from school.
Malek also had fractures in his skull and a brain hemorrhage.
Anisa Abul Hawa (43 years old) was wounded in her thigh as she coincided to be in the same place and time when Israeli soldiers targeted Za’atreh.
Settlers’ raids into Al Aqsa mosque
Hundreds of extremist Israeli settlers stormed Al Aqsa mosque in daily raids through the Magharbeh gate, which has been under Israeli control since the occupation of the city.
Israeli authorities, meanwhile, continued to impose restrictions on worshipers during Fajr prayers. Several exclusion orders were issued against native Palestinians, preventing them from reaching the holy mosque, the old city, the West Bank, or preventing them from traveling.
The study has documented 36 exclusion orders, including one against the governorate of Jerusalem Adnan Gheith, who was prevented from reaching the Bank for six months
