Shipping Giant Linked to Israel’s Gaza Genocide Stopped 27 Times at Turkey’s Mersin Port

Mersin (Quds News Network)- The Danish ship Nexoe Maersk, operated by shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk, reportedly stopped 27 times at Turkey’s Mersin Port during Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The claim was made by journalist Adem Özköse, who accused Turkish authorities of enabling Israeli war crimes by allowing such ships access to national ports. “Those who keep our ports open to Zionist supporters are committing a great crime against humanity,” Özköse said.

The figure of 27 stops could not be independently verified. However, according to Maersk’s official website, Nexoe Maersk is scheduled to stop at Mersin twice next month, on May 1 and May 26.

Previous investigations by Declassified UK and The Ditch revealed that Maersk container ships have been transporting fighter jet equipment to Israel. Shipping data shows that goods from the US Air Force Plant 4 in Fort Worth, Texas — operated by Lockheed Martin, which manufactures F-35 jets — were shipped to Haifa Port in Israel between April 5 and May 1.

Israel’s F-35 fleet, based at Nevatim Air Base, has been heavily used in Gaza attacks. In one horrific incident last year, an Israeli F-35 dropped a 2,000lb bomb on a designated safe zone in Al-Mawasi, killing 90 civilians.

Maersk stated that it does not track cargo after it leaves Haifa Port. However, the link to Israeli military operations remains clear.

More than 15% of F-35 components are made in the UK, involving over 100 British companies. Previous reports found that over 500 shipments of F-35 parts were sent from a British air base to the US, possibly for eventual export to Israel.

In addition to Mersin Port, Nexoe Maersk frequently stops at Algeciras Port in Spain, Port Tangier Med in Morocco, Alexandria Port in Egypt, Valencia Port, Barcelona Port, and Casablanca Port.
