“She was killed in her bedroom”: Israeli forces kill 13-year-old girl during West Bank raid

Occupied West Bank (Quds News Network)- A 13-year-old little girl, Bana Amjad Bakr, was killed by live Israeli fire in her chest on Friday evening during a settler attack on the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank. The attack occurred under the protection of Israeli forces.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its medical teams responded to Bana’s critical injuries, which she sustained during an attack by settlers and Israeli forces on native villagers. Bana was rushed to Rafidia Surgical Hospital in Nablus, where doctors pronounced her dead due to the severity of her injuries.

According to her father, Bana was shot while inside her room at home with her sisters.

Earlier in the day, a 34-year-old man was shot in the hand by Israeli forces, and another 30-year-old was beaten by settlers during a separate attack in the same village. Also, an American activist was killed by Israeli forces in a different location in Nablus.

Local sources confirmed that a group of settlers stormed Qaryut, attacking Palestinian homes in the southern part of the village and pelting them with stones.

The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that since October 7, settler attacks has led to the deaths of 19 Palestinians, the injury of more than 785 others, and the displacement of 28 Bedouin communities.

With Bana Bakr’s death, the number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank since October 7 has risen to 692, including 159 children and one American solidarity activist, according to the Ministry of Health.
