Tehran (QNN)- Iran has firmly rejected US President Donald Trump’s threats to intervene in Iranian protests.
Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said the Iranian people “know well the American record of so-called rescue operations, from Iraq and Afghanistan to Gaza.”
He warned that any interfering hand would be “cut off before it reaches its target,” calling national security a red line that is “not material for risky tweets.”
Meanwhile, Larijani, a member of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, accused Trump and Israeli officials of plotting behind the scenes.
He said America’s intervention in Iran’s internal affairs would create “complete chaos” in the region and destroy US interests.
He also urged the American public to be cautious about the safety of their troops, warning that Trump had “started a dangerous adventure.”
Trump had posted on his social media platform "Truth Social" that if Iran “shoots and violently kills peaceful protesters,” the United States "will come to their rescue."
Iranian officials highlighted that Israel already tried to support the protests, and America’s involvement shows it cannot act alone.
The warnings come amid US foreign policy shifts. In December 2025, the United States released a new National Security Strategy. The new "America First" policy emphasizes economic strength and sovereignty over traditional global leadership.
Despite this shift, the US continues to intervene worldwide only to defend Israeli interests.
The US led "Operation Rough Rider", striking Houthi targets in Yemen after operations against Israeli interests in the Red Sea.
