Settlers’ violence: Raids, land-grab, and shootings in West Bank

Occupied West Bank (QNN)- Israeli settlers on Sunday continued to commit their crimes against native Palestinians throughout the occupied West Bank, reported Wafa.

Dozens of settlers stormed the site of the Tarsala, south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank under protection by the Israeli army. The settlers performed rituals and chanted racist slogans against native Palestinians and Arabs.

Another group of illegal settlers fenced areas in Khirbet Ihmayyir in the northern Jordan Valley, aiming at confiscating them.

Human rights activist Aref Dragmah told Wafa that the settlers began to fence land from Khirbet Ihmayyir in the northern Jordan Valley, which they captured about two months ago.

In a separate incident, a settler opened fire at a house in the Shuhada Street in the heart of Hebron.

According to eyewitnesses, a settler, accompanied by a group of heavily armed settlers were at the Shuhada Street and fired at the houses of the citizens. No casualties have been reported.

Israeli occupation forces raided several neighborhoods in Yatta, south of Hebron, and searched several houses and shops and tampered with surveillance cameras of citizens on the pretext of searching for a disappeared illegal settler.

For years, farmers have not been able to reach their lands because of settlers’ violent practices. Illegal settlers have been increasingly targeting Khirbet Ihmayyir over the past two months.

The Jordan Valley is the food basket of Palestine and is the most affected area of the annexation plans, which will devour tens of thousands of dunums of agricultural land.

Several areas in the West Bank, particularly in the Valleys and villages adjacent to settlements, are under constant attack with the aim of settlement expansion.

Trump’s annexation plan would transform 43 villages, where more than 110,000 Palestinians live, into enclaves surrounded by the apartheid wall and illegal settlers.
