Settlers’ attack on Nablus leaves injuries among residents

Nablus (QNN)- Violent confrontations erupted last night between the residents of Nablus and Israeli forces and settlers, who stormed the city under the pretext of performing rituals at Joseph’s Tomb.

Local sources said that large numbers of Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers stormed the city of Nablus from Bet Furik military checkpoint before heading towards Amman street, which was blocked by residents using burning tires.

Dozens of Israeli soldiers deployed in the area and on the rooftops of buildings surrounding Joseph’s Tomb and used stun and tear gas grenades in addition to bullets against the residents, who threw stones at the soldiers.

Dozens of buses and vehicles, carrying hundreds of Jewish extremists, reached the area after that.

The Palestinian Red Cresent in Nablus told WAFA that three young men were shot with rubber-coated metal bullets and sent to Rafidia hospital. Meanwhile, six others were treated in the field.

Israeli media reported that 2500 Israeli extremists broke into Joseph’s Tomb to perform rituals amid strict protection by the Israeli army.
