Saudi blogger’s visit to Jerusalem sparks angry reactions among Saudis

Jerusalem (QNN) – A Saudi blogger visiting the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem as part of an Israeli-sponsored trip has triggered angry reactions among Saudi activists on Twitter.

Hundreds of activists tweeted that the visit of the blogger, identified as Mohammad Saud, does not represent the Saudi people who stand on the side of the Palestinians and refuse to normalize with Israel, demanding that the latter should stand trial in accordance with Saudi laws banning Saudis from visiting the occupied territories.

Wearing his traditional Gulf Arab clothing, Mohammed Saud was recorded on Monday being chased out of the Old City of Jerusalem as Palestinians threw plastic chairs and hurled insults at him, accusing him of being a traitor and a Zionist.

Saud, who is part of the delegation, was also branded a “Zionist” and called “garbage.” He was told to “pray in the synagogue, not in Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

Social media users circulated the videos using the Arabic hashtag “Saudi kicked out of Jerusalem”.
