Sada Social Center slams Israeli incitement against Palestinian content
Ramallah (QNN)- Sada Social Center condemned on Thursday Israeli incitement against Palestinian content and deliberately targeting it by different means, as Israeli War Minister Benny Gantz stated that more efforts must be done on social media platforms to restrict Palestinian content.
The Center expressed its concern about the escalation of the crackdown on Palestinian journalists and media freedom after Gantz’s Thursday remarks, particularly that this incitement comes amid successive events on the ground in several Palestinian areas.
The group added that the restrictions on the Palestinian media and press would affect Palestinians’ access to information and news that affects their reality and security, as well as violates international law and the right to expression.
Sada Social Center said it has documented more than 990 violations against Palestinian content on social media platforms since the start of the year, 49% of which were against journalists and media accounts as Israeli occupation has allocated huge budgets to fight the Palestinian content and pressure the administrations of social media platforms to restrict the Palestinian narrative and delete even journalistic content.
