Turin (QNN)- The Portuguese soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo, presented his shirt to the minister of foreign affair at the occupation state, Israel Katz.
Israeli media reported that katz met Ronaldo and other players of Juventus during an official visit to Italy.
“In addition to my diplomatic meetings in Italy, I’ve had the pleasure to meet @juventusfcen and its’ stars”, tweeted Katz.
“I conveyed warm greetings from Israeli fans to Ronaldo & his team mates. Ronaldo is a great player & deserves to win the cup at least once more.”
Ronaldo had expressed his support for Palestine several times in the past. To demonstrate his support for Palestinian rights, in 2013, Cristiano didn’t want to swap t-shirts with an Israeli player. He also appeared holding a free Palestine placard in one photo and wearing Palestine flag in another, which raised questioned about his real position towards the Palestinian cause.
