Rising up from ashes: Palestinians set up tents, revive land after Israeli demolition campaign

"It is a survival thing but we will resist. We will set up a tent wherever they demolish a house. We will revive our agricultural land and cultivate it".

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli vehicles on Monday demolished agricultural structures in Issawiyyeh in East Jerusalem but that did not prevent residents from rising up from the ashes.

Local sources said that the Israeli so-called ‘civil administration’ raided several agricultural structures in Issawiyyeh.

The structures are owned by Ahmad Abed Mahmoud, and Abed Nemer Mahmoud, who had already reached a military demolition order.

“Praise be to God. It is a survival thing but we will resist. We will set up a tent wherever they demolish a house. We will revive our agricultural land and cultivate it”, one of the structures’ owners said.

In the same vein, Israeli forces dismantled a greenhouse in the Sawahreh area in East Jerusalem under the pretext of having no building permit.
