Resistance Fighters Destroy Two Israeli Armored Vehicles in Another Bold Khan Younis Operation

Gaza  (Quds News Network)- Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released footage of a powerful resistance operation that targeted two Israeli armored personnel carriers (APCs) on Tuesday in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

Fighters used two locally made explosive devices; one of the “Shawaz” type and another known as the “Fida’i action bomb.”

The video shows the two Israeli APCs moving slowly among the rubble of destroyed homes. Two Al-Qassam fighters quietly approached, taking cover among the ruins. Then, in broad daylight, the fighters advanced from just meters away.

One fighter fearlessly climbed onto the first APC, carrying the 25-kilogram Shawaz bomb, and dropped it through the hatch before quickly withdrawing. The second fighter detonated the other vehicle from close range. Both explosions occurred almost simultaneously, setting the two vehicles ablaze.

The fighters documented the entire operation, capturing the APCs burning and vowing to return for more.

Israeli soldiers inside had no chance to escape. One soldier was seen frozen beside the vehicle, unable to move. An Israeli helicopter later arrived, attempting to evacuate casualties.

According to Israeli Army Radio, the attack killed one officer and six soldiers. Dozens were wounded. Rescue teams failed to put out the flames. The fire raged uncontrollably despite the use of military firefighting crews and a D9 bulldozer, which attempted to smother the blaze with sand.

Eventually, the Israeli army decided to tow the burning APC away; first through Salah al-Din Street in Khan Younis, then out of Gaza entirely. The vehicle continued to burn, with the bodies of the soldiers still inside. It was only extinguished after reaching inside Israeli territory.

No soldier survived. Helicopters arrived too late to rescue anyone.

Israeli media quoted a senior army officer who described the video as “shameful” and damaging to the military’s image.

This was not the first operation of its kind. Al-Qassam has repeatedly published footage of such high-impact operations. What stood out this time was the unmatched bravery of the fighter who carried a massive bomb under fire, climbed the vehicle, and planted it with just five seconds to escape.

Abu Obeida, spokesperson for Al-Qassam, said the Israeli government is deceiving its public and dragging soldiers into the “swamp of Gaza” for false political goals.

He praised the fighters’ courage, saying, “Our warriors are the most daring and self-sacrificing freedom fighters of the modern era.” He added that the scenes from Khan Younis are “living history.”

“Funerals and body bags will become a regular event as long as the occupation’s criminal war against our people continues,” Abu Obeida warned.

The operation has been widely celebrated on social media, seen as a testament to the resistance’s resolve, creativity, and unmatched bravery on the battlefield.
