Resistance fighters confront Israeli troops invading Al-Far’a refugee camp
Tubas (Quds News Network) – Palestinian resistance fighters successfully repelled an incursion by Israeli occupation forces earlier today into Al-Far’a refugee camp in the northern West Bank district of Tubas, damaging a military vehicle and downing two Israeli drones.
Local sources reported that the resistance in the camp detected special Israeli forces disguised in civilian attire infiltrating the camp, sparking armed clashes. The Israeli forces, backed by reinforcements from the Israeli Hamra military checkpoint southeast of Tubas, enhanced their presence with a military bulldozer. They besieged a house inside the camp, targeted it with a projectile, and demanded those inside to surrender.
Resistance fighters in the camp confronted the invading Israeli forces with a barrage of gunfire and explosive devices, resulting in the disabling of a military vehicle and the destruction of two drones.
Medical sources confirmed that an Israeli soldier shot a young man and arrested him from a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance that was transporting him to the hospital in the nearby city of Tubas. Additionally, four other young men were arrested during the incursion.
The injured young man, Anas Nasr Sawalmeh, was shot in the hand with live ammunition by Israeli forces. The Israeli soldiers not only attacked him but also assaulted the Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance he was in, leading to his arrest. Two other young men sustained gunshot wounds, one in the chest and the other in both legs, and were transported to the Turkish Governmental Hospital in Tubas for treatment.
Israeli forces arrested five Palestinians during the camp’s invasion, including two children: Aziz Fares Sawalmeh (17 years old) and Abdul Fares Sawalmeh (14 years old). Another individual, Mahmoud Ahmed Al-Shubaki, was also arrested, along with an unidentified young man.
The previous night and into the morning, extensive incursions by Israeli forces occurred in various areas of the West Bank. Simultaneously, violent confrontations and clashes took place, with resistance fighters engaging Israeli forces at Salem military checkpoint near Jenin, as well as in other regions of the West Bank.
